Change in Grasslands – Pasture in Albany County from 2001 to 2019

Multiple, often contradictory things can happen to land cover over two decades, as you can see with this map.

Suburban sprawl in the area around the city reduced the amount of grasslands over the 18 year period, while in more outlaying areas the decline of dairy meant less silage and corn was planted but more grass was grown/grazed for beef.

Backpacking with Pack Goats & Dogs to a Trout Fishing Lake, Camping & Firebox Stove Cooking

Every time I've seen people out hiking with dogs, I've thought backpacking with goats would be a lot of fun. I've never been a real fan of dogs and cats, but I think goats could haul a lot of gear, provide companionship without all the silliness domestic pets offer. I get that goats kind of crap everywhere, though they can be potty trained to only pee in specific places. Their barnyard animals, but much more useful I'd argue then dogs for many uses.
